Hands of Hope...

Yesterday I saw this pic in Facebook, being passed through different pages and people, especially among the advocates of life. This is one pic which strikes me, though unbelievable it may seem.

This is the story behind the pic, known as HANDS OF HOPE:

A 21-week-old unborn baby was diagnosed with “spina bifida” (split spine) and would not survive if removed from his mother’s womb. Little Samuel’s mother, Julie Armas, was an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta.

She knew of Dr. Bruner’s remarkable surgical procedure. During the procedure, the doctor removed the uterus via Caesarian section and made a small incision to operate on the baby.

While doing the surgery on little Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed, hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon’s finger.

The photograph captured the amazing event with perfect clarity.

“The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother’s uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.”

Little Samuel’s mother said she “wept for days” when she saw the picture. She said, “The photo reminds us that my pregnancy isn’t about disability or illness, it’s about a little living person.”

Think on this everyone, especially those who still promote the RH Bill.

That little baby in the picture showed his appreciation through reaching out his tiny hand for the doctor's big finger. He will not do it if he is not living. That clearly means that the baby - that fetus - inside the Nurse's womb has LIFE. IT IS LIVING.

According to the advocates, the fetus is NOT LIVING (in tagalog, dugo pa lang daw) until it springs out of the mother's womb, that's why we can still opt to abort it while it is still a fetus. They say that we can do our own things without worrying if the little thing has the term they call life.

Obviously, I was also a fetus before. And I know deep inside my heart that I AM LIVING WAY BACK THEN. My heart is beating way back when my mommy's carrying me for nine months. I'm also eating along with my mommy when she's eating lunch or dinner. She feels me kick or move. In other words, I am already living from the first moment I came into being.

I am the youngest of four children. It turned out that my parents adopted another baby girl, making us five children. Nevertheless, if ever I was not permitted by my parents to live, and aborted me on that, I would never realize my calling. I would never serve God, meet people, and write a post like the one you're viewing right now. I have lots of dreams and aspirations to achieve. Thank God my parents allowed me to live.

This is my inspiration why I'm shouting out there and proclaiming Life. As long as there are people who recognize their reason for living, and people who appreciate life (like Little Samuel), surely the devils at congress would have a hard time passing any law which kills life.

Let's hope.
