Call Me SIR DANN! ^^

WELDANN LESTER A. PANGANIBAN

He comes in different names: Wewe to his Elementary and High School classmates, Bitoy to his friends in college and at work, and Sir Bitoy or Sir Dann to his students, Filipino or Korean. He was born on the 19 August 1990 in Navotas City, where he is currently residing. He was baptized a Catholic on 28 October 1990.

He finished Elementary and Secondary Education in Immaculate Conception Parochial School, Malabon City, in 2003 and 2006 respectively. Though life  had been rude to him during this period, he can be seen as a jolly and friendly student. He is much of a student assistant without a pay, thus granting him the Student Assistance award upon his graduation in 2006.

He graduated as a Bachelor in Secondary Education, Major in English, at the City of Malabon University in March 2012. His field study took him to places of learning, such as Malabon National High School (December 2010-February 2011) and Tañong National High School (July-September 2011).

Eventually, he returned to ICPS to serve, not as its student, but as an educator. He currently teaches English for Fourth Year students, and stands as the School Paper Adviser. In addition, he passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers last September 2013.

Prior to this, he worked as an Online English Instructor at NeungYule Eduphone in Quezon City, teaching English to Korean students of varying ages and attitudes. This opened a new avenue of opportunities for him, as he is able to open himself to people of different cultures and backgrounds.

A fervent devotee of Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, he is actively involved in the Dominican Familyy as a member of the Our Lady of La Naval Lay Dominican Fraternity. As a part of IPLM's Radio Ministry, he hosted in the program U-Speak (Saturdays, 6:30-8:00 PM, over 102.3 FM Radyo Manaoag) once a month. He is also a member of Mukha AD Batch 23 of Santo Domingo Church, Quezon City. .

Bitoy became a lay servant in his community, the Parish of Santa Cruz in Tanza, Navotas City, being the Secretary of the Committee on Worship and Liturgy (2009-2012), under the Parish Pastoral Council. Prior to this, he served as an Altar Server (2004-2009) and Lector (2009).

He is also granted the gift of singing, being a member of the School Choir during his Elementary and Secondary School days. He took charge of the Parish children's Choir, the Magnificat Choirsters, as its guitarist and mentor from 2011-2012.

Aside from blogwriting, he was also a member of the Student Media Board of the City of Malabon University. He became the Opinion Editor for the School Paper, The Current (AY 2011-2012). He also wrote for the Parish Paper of Santa Cruz Parish, Timbulan. Moreover, he is a member-admin of two fanpages in Facebook: Kuwento ng Bawat Kabataang Pilipino and Ave Maria! (Ina ng Diyos, Ina ng Pilipino).

A good colleague to his friends and everyone around him, he dreams of being somebody for everybody, be it as a Teacher or a Priest or a simple Lay Servant. He tries to begin as early as now, hoping that this would help build the bricks towards the attainment of his dreams.

...At the end of the day, I am just but the Lord's writing Machine. Everything that I write is a reflection of the Lord's grace upon me and upon us. I don't boast every good acclaim, for I know that all these happens as God wills...
